About
More about Deb Howard Greenleaf:
I am a lifelong resident of Erie County, Pennsylvania, where my family has lived since 1835. I share my home in the woods with my wonderful husband, two mischievous kids and a half dozen cats and dogs.
I am active in our local PTA and have been a member of the General McLane School District Board of School Directors since 2008. For almost a decade, I have been leading our neighborhood’s Great PA Cleanup effort, dragging unsuspecting volunteers through the ditches of Franklin Township in the name of environmental responsibility!
A frequent instructor at the Manufacturer & Business Association of Northwest Pennsylvania and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Gannon University, I enjoy sharing my love of QuickBooks and small business accounting.
I have over 18 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on QuickBooks since 2002. A Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2006, I achieved the Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation in late 2007. Out of more than 44,000 ProAdvisors in the country, approximately 15,000 are Certified and only 990 hold the Advanced ProAdvisor certification.
As any business owner knows, taxes are a necessary evil when running a business. I am also an Enrolled Agent (EA), an IRS-licensed tax professional. As an EA, I can defend you in an IRS audit, help you deal with payroll tax problems, or get you caught up with non-filed returns.
A proud graduate of Bowdoin College, I worked in commercial lending and CPA firms after college. For the past nine years, my life has revolved around small businesses, their bookkeeping, their taxes, and other issues related to small biz finances. I’m a passionate supporter of the small business owner and love to share the little tips and tidbits from my world that can be useful for anyone working for themselves.
